We began this journey in January 2018. The barn dwarfed from a basic working barn to one fit for any type of event.

To prepare myself for this path, I did lots of learning. I took an online flower growing course from Floret Flower Farm in early January 2018 while also going through the Master Gardner class in Denton.

The site was previously a field full of wild flowers and lots of clover. We mapped out what we needed, created our rows, installed drop irrigation, and had a deer fence put around the flower field.

A seed catalog to me is like a kid in a candy shop! I want one of everything! I purchased lots of seeds my first year and lots of them made it and lots of them didn't. It's all part of the learning process.

Lots of work goes into growing anything. We battled the weeds, bugs, weather, and timing of it all. However, when you begin to see all the beauty you have created , it is all worth it:)

We sell our farm bouquets from our flower cart on the weekends. However, I also take orders for arrangements or bouquets anytime, as long as I have flowers. Please call if I can help you in any way.

About Harvest Moon Farm
Our Story
Harvest Moon Barn is the perfect gathering spot for celebrations of forty or less people. Pricing is $450 for 5 hours, with $100 for each additional hour. The barn is ready for you to decorate upon arrival & we do the clean up afterwards. Call to inquire for openings.
Harvest Moon Cottage
Coming in July, Harvest Moon Cottage for over night stays while visiting Decatur, the county seat of Wise County. Book for a weekend or a week, either way it's part of Decatur history. Built around the 1930's, totally remodeled to emphasize the uniqueness of its' original build. Two bedrooms, one bath, one block from historic Decatur square. Call us for inquiries, 940-393-3798.
